October is National Principals Month. Today, we celebrate Laurens Elementary School Principal Ashley Bragg and shoutout her 5-Star Qualities as a school leader.

Mrs. Turner's third grade class had a Zoom call on Monday, October, 28, 2024, with one of Auburn University’s basketball players.

Primary Montessori had a special visit today from Mrs. Kelsey’s brother in law, Justin Pelfrey. Justin has been a full time firefighter for 17+ years and currently serves in Anderson County and is a volunteer firefighter for Gray Court Fire Department. The class learned all about his gear, the importance of fire safety like stop, drop and roll, as well as having a fire plan with your family. Students also learned what to listen for if they are ever in a fire and were reminded to never hide from a firefighter, to rather yell “help!” or “over here!”

We are sharing an early reminder. We call on eligible citizens/registered voters to vote.

Thank you, Laurens Community, for helping us raise funds to recognize our teachers and staff.

🌐 October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! 🔒
This month, let’s prioritize our online safety and security. Every day, we rely on technology for work, communication, and entertainment, making it crucial to protect our personal information.
Key Tips:
Use Strong Passwords: Create unique, complex passwords for different accounts.
Stay Updated: Regularly update your software and devices to patch security vulnerabilities.
Think Before You Click: Be cautious with email links and attachments to avoid phishing scams.
Secure Your Wi-Fi: Protect your home network with a strong password and encryption.
Educate Yourself and Others: Share knowledge about cybersecurity best practices with friends and family.
Let’s work together to build a safer digital environment! Remember, your online security is in your hands. 💻✨
